Learning throughout a career

A profession that never stops learning

An older person’s needs change, and so does professional guidance. Continuing education at Les 3A lets a care worker in post, an institutional team or a family carer make progress without stepping away from their work.

Short modules

Units of one to three days, stackable, which add up to a pathway recognised by the association.

Available offline

Materials are designed for an entry-level phone and can be read without a network. Content syncs as soon as a connection is available.

A 16-hour annual base

Every care worker placed by the association completes at least sixteen hours of professional development a year, included in their support package.

The catalogue

Four pathways, depending on who you are

A qualified care worker, a family carer, a facility manager and a trainer have neither the same needs nor the same time available. The catalogue is organised accordingly.

Professional development for social care workers

Deepen one area, acquire a new skill, or prepare for a step up the professional pay scale.

Why it matters

Continuing education repairs what the market damages

The French data describe a sector that, for want of structure, exposes its workers: a high average age, widespread part-time work, and multiple jobs that fragment the day. These are precisely the vulnerabilities that continuing education and supervision can contain.

Among employees specialising in personal care services, the average age reaches 52 and 83 % work part-time. Without skills development or prospects, a career becomes a job that wears people out.

Les 3A has made the opposite choice: a compulsory annual base, stackable modules, monthly supervision and a grade structure that makes progression visible.

Practicalities

Enrolling on a module

Professional modules are for people already doing care work, qualified or not. The family carers pathway is open to anyone supporting a relative, with no conditions. In-house training is arranged by contract with the employer.

Every module combines in-person time at the Mimboman centre — moving and handling cannot be learned remotely — with sequences readable on a phone, including offline, for revision and assessment.

Each completed module gives a named certificate stating the skills covered and the hours involved. These certificates accumulate in the professional record and count towards moving up the pay scale for care workers placed by the association.

The sixteen-hour annual base is included for care workers placed by the association. Other modules carry a contribution whose amount, like the rates for in-house training, is given by the office depending on the session and the number of participants.
